Memory Lane: Christmas

Because we were going to California for Christmas this year, Santa came to our house a week early so that we could have a family Christmas in Maryland before our trip:

We were so excited to give Leah her stocking....
And then realized we had handed her the wrong one (we placed Leah's old toy in Dallin's stocking).
Leah received one gift for Christmas (with a couple of accompanying accessories).  For about the past six months I had been planning on getting her a kitchen and had been scouring the internet, thrift stores, and Craigslist for a good one.  Our plan was to get a smaller one that would help while away the winter months indoors and would be something she and Dallin could eventually play with together.  But then we found this one on Craigslist for a steal and couldn't pass it up, even though it was much bigger than we had planned on.  We had a lot of fun cleaning it up together in the late evenings before our family Christmas morning.

We had it all set up by the Christmas tree for Leah to see Christmas morning.  She loved it and continues to love it.  It's also been a good mother-daughter bonding toy :)

Dallin played the role of quiet observer very well.

The silver bow traveled from child to child...

...and from place to place on each child.

Caught in the kitchen again!
