Labor Day Weekend Part 1: Annapolis

We were lucky enough to have most of Dave's family in town for Dallin's blessing and, while transportation got a little tricky and room in our home was limited, we really enjoyed the time we had with everyone.  It was kind of a shock to the system when they all left and it was just me taking care of Leah and Dallin all day again.  It's wonderful to have a few extra hands around!!!  But even more wonderful was simply having our family close by for a few days.

One of the destinations for the weekend: our favorite, Annapolis!
Leah is loving walking everywhere...most of the time we love it, though sometimes she gets a little stubborn about getting back in the stroller when it's time to get a move on.  She felt so important pushing Dallin in the stroller for a little while!

Taking a little break outside the old capitol building (Annapolis was the USA's first capital for about four months before  it was moved to Washington DC)

First time I saw Leah fall asleep in the stroller since she was about 3 months old!
We spent quite a bit of time exploring the Naval Academy campus

We can't keep her arms inside the straps these days.  We especially have to be careful when we buckle her in the car seat or she'll figure out a way to get her arms out of that, too.
Liz!

This was Dallin's second trip to Annapolis - he spent the first half of the day in the stroller, and the second half in the Lillebaby.  He did great!
Dave and Frank examining a unique sun dial on campus

Boy these babies are high maintenance!  Three men just to get them up a flight of stairs!

Liz did her best to try and get Leah to take a little nap on the way there.  You can tell she came very, very close.  Leah's a fighter, though!

Liz was nice enough to sit squished between the two car seats all the way there.  Leah loved having her aunt next to her!

  1. It is always hard going back to "real life" after spending time with family. Thank you for hosting all of us. We had such a great time. Hopefully we'll be back soon!
